Mocal Billet Thermostatic Sandwich Plate Chevy V8
This new Mocal designed thermostatic billet aluminium Sandwich Plate fits small and big Block Chevy / Chevrolet V8 engines. It has two M22 x 1.5 ports for continuous high flow throughout the unit. It also has a 1/8th npt port which can be used to introduce a temperature sensor or similar – it comes with an 1/8th plug fitted as standard.
As the centre thread is 13/16th and the filter face diameter the same as the original filter, this can be can be refitted after installation.
The thermostatic bypass will close at 80 degrees centigrade to divert all oil to the oil cooler.

Chevy refers to the Chevrolet brand which is a division of General Motors. LS refers to a specific family of engines, specifically a modern range of GM V8 (LS Series).
