Aluminium tubing that is easy to bend and shape provides an attractive, resilient and cost effective method of running fuel, brake, steering, clutch, oil, coolant and nitrous lines.
It is available in any length in the following Outside Diameters;
- 3/16" that we refer to as JIC -03 for size (part no 817-03)
- 1/4" that we refer to as JIC -04 for size (part no 817-04)
- 3/8" that we refer to as JIC -06 for size (part no 817-06)
- 1/2" that we refer to as JIC -08 for size (part no 817-08)
- 5/8" that we refer to as JIC -10 for size (part no 817 -10)
So ensure the part number for tube, tube nut and sleeve is followed by the correct JIC dash size when ordering.
We also do a JIC -12 and JIC -16 nut and sleeve, but are unable to supply tubing at this time.
Each end of the aluminium tube must be flared to 37degrees. A tube sleeve (part no 819-JIC SIZE) slides up behind the flare to support it, a tube nut (part no 818-JIC SIZE) pulls the sleeve and flare tube tight togther on the fitting you are connecting to.
This system should not be used where hose flexibility is required, but is ideal for long runs from front to back of a vehicle with a join to a flexible system (any of other ranges) as required. We recommend using our rubber insulated 'P' clips to secure this tubing to the vehicle structure.
We are able to flare pipe prior to despatch if the correct length is specified (call to discuss details please - at no cost), we can hire the tool or retail the tool if required, it is the Rolo-Flair listed below.
